This page explains what information the Academic Coaching Appointments system collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The system lets students book one-on-one support sessions with Joyce Alvarenga, Academic Coach, at joycecoach.com/agendar.
When you book an appointment, we collect only what is needed to schedule and support you:
We do not collect payment information, and we do not use cookies for advertising or tracking. The admin area uses a session cookie only to keep the coach signed in.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
The system connects to the coach's own Google Calendar (and the coach's own Google account to send emails) through Google's official APIs. It does not access students' Google accounts. With the coach's authorization, it uses Google Calendar data only to:
Google Calendar data is not stored beyond the appointment details described above, is not shared with anyone, and is not used for advertising or to train AI models. The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
To run the system, your information is processed by these providers, only for the purposes above:
Information is stored in a private database protected by access controls; the admin area requires a password, and access keys are never exposed in the website. Automatic backups are kept for a limited period and older backups are deleted automatically. We keep your information while you are receiving academic support and delete it on request, unless we need to keep a record for a legitimate reason.
For questions or requests about your information, contact Joyce Alvarenga at [email protected].
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
